When you add new flooring—tiles, wood, vinyl—height changes. Even a few millimetres can make previously smooth-opening doors start scraping the floor. If you don’t think about this early, you may end up having to trim doors after installation, which is messy and time-consuming.
Checking current clearances—how much gap exists under doors now—helps you and your installer plan. Maybe you choose thinner underlay, or decide which doors might need adjustment.
A little planning avoids that horrible grinding sound of a door trying to drag itself over your brand-new floor.
