How can placing a full-length mirror in the right spot make a compact bedroom feel more open?

Home Improvement How can placing a full-length mirror in the right spot make a compact bedroom feel more open?

In a small bedroom, walls can close in quickly, especially if there’s a big bed, a wardrobe and not much floor left. A full-length mirror cleverly doubles up what you see, making the space feel broader and deeper.

Placing it where it reflects light – maybe opposite a window or beside it – bounces brightness into darker corners. Suddenly, that narrow room doesn’t feel so narrow. When you walk in, your eye catches the reflected part and your brain reads more volume than actually exists.

It’s also practical: you get a full outfit check without having to step into another room. Doors of wardrobes are a great place for this if floor area is tight.

You just want to avoid angles where you’ll constantly see a messy patch reflected. Use the mirror to repeat your best view, not your laundry pile.
